Watermill Restaurant and Lodge

One of DJ Rasdale & Sons showcase projects is the award-winning Watermill Restaurant and Lodge based in Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh.

The Watermill restaurant and lodges involved a large refurbishment to the existing building along with a large extension to form the new restaurant area and toilet provision, along with new build lodges to the rear of the site. A large majority of the existing building was retained and repaired at the client's requirements.

The existing thatched roof to the building was in an extremely dilapidated state and was replaced with a new thatched roof with intricate detailing to ridge level. All existing stone work on site was reused to form new walls within the building and entrance lobby.

Other works to the building included the inclusion of an eye catching three-meter- tall fish tank as an external display to the side elevation. External works included: concrete kerbing, railway sleeper kerbing, brick paving, tar-mac surfaces, stone walls and small pedestrian bridges.

To the right are some pictures of the construction process and the finished product which has been singled out for prestigious recognition in the recent awards ceremony held by the Federation of Master Builders.
